Cluecrumbs is a free daily word game. Every day there’s one secret word and a trail of ten one-word clues — the crumbs. The first crumb is an extreme tangent; each crumb after it gets a little more obvious. Guess the word in as few crumbs as you can, and come back tomorrow for a new one.
Say the category is Food & Drink and the secret word is PANCAKE. The first crumbs are wild tangents — flat, stack, flip — and could point almost anywhere. By the middle of the trail they tighten up: griddle, batter, syrup. Solve it on crumb 3 and you’ve earned bragging rights; needing breakfast on crumb 9 still counts as a win. However you get there, the fewer crumbs, the sweeter it is.
